Just Using One Of The Secrets In The Travel Secrets Guide  ie-

Safari Captivate the imagination and awakens the spirit of Adventure. We all have perceptions of Africa from tales of the dark continent by early explorers; sweaty jungles, bleak deserts, dangerous animal and daring pursuite, exotic tribe living amidst nature. Films like Out Of Africa, and Documentaries like Big Cat Diary heightens our desire to see wildlife in its natual enviroment.

In Kenya Wildlife is not restricted within boundaries of National Parks and Reserves, there are wildlife everywhere and in particular the Game parks are packed with all sorts of animals. So How do you select and plan your Safari?

Selecting A Safari

The Secrete of a successfull safari is to plan it thoroughly. You do not want to hustle and bustle with details when you have already booked your Holiday to Kenya. Research your options and even though I am recommending you to book  your Safari with Us, do your own research so that the safari you choose is the most suited to what you want to see and do. If you want to climb mt. Kilimanjaro, see the wildeebeest migration, walk with elephants, meet coloufull people, watch flocks of flamingo or snorkel in coral garden, with carefull selection you will end up visiting the right places at the right time of the year.

Lipi Adventure Check List:

  • Is there anything you especially want to see? Wildlife, People, Scenic attraction?
  • Where are they found?
  • Anything special you want to Do?
  • Would you like to Combine activities eg Wildlife Safari with few days relaxing at the coast?
  • Do you have children?
  • Do single supplements apply if traveling alone?
  • What is the best time to Travel?
  • Do you have time constrains when you travel?
  • What type of Accommodation do you require?
  • Do you want access to a swimming pool?
  • What mode of transport to you prefer?
  • How long are you going for?
  • What do you want included in the Price of the Itinerary?
  • What are the additional cost?
  • Do you have any special food requirements?

Compare the Options you have gotten and check what is included in the price. Its very easy to overlook additional cost, such as extra meal here and there, drinks or tipping. Also not that in the game lodges and camps the cost for Drinks is not included in the Safari Price. Take time to assess the hidden cost in the itinerary as you are not neccessarily comparing like with like: Park entry fees, transfer from airstrips to camp, bush walks, bush picnics, village visits, additional cost etc. We at casamombasa try to minimize these cost by providing a clear overview and will let you know in advance what you are to expect.

Take note of the term Full board and Fully Inclusive. Full Board means just meals breakfast, lunch and dinner but not drinks ( this is what we offer) as the amount one is going to spend on drinks is quite less compared to the amount one pays for in Fully Inclusive where it may include full board with most activities and drinks but champagne , spirits and park fees may be extra.
